Oh yes, it's all about the play doh. Grady's favorite thing is to cut the play doh with scissors. Taylor pretty much likes all of the play doh fun. Who doesn't?!

Happy 1st Birthday Cousin Addie!!

Last weekend we celebrated our neice Addisson's 1st Birthday. Here are the reasons I just love when babies turn one..

1. They get to eat their first real piece of cake and when I say real I mean BIG piece of cake!! LUCKY!

2. They get to blow out their first ever candle

3. We are celebrating their life and what it means for them to be a part of our life

4. They get thousands of presents and aren't even interested in one.

5. The look on the parents face of such gratitude for their little ones. And being a mommy myself I feel that happiness and it's the greatest high in life!

& last, but not least, and also this does not happen on a regular basis...you get to see your neice in a tu-tu (spelling? oh well). Talk about precious!! Take a look yourself:

Taylor Post Surgery

Our daughter Taylor is a TOTALLY different kid. Talk about full of energy and HYSTERICAL! She makes us laugh all day long. She is so sweet and fun and I have to admit I have only wiped her nose once since December 15. This is serious progress as I used to wipe her nose 20+ times a day. Those of you who are around us a lot of the time can attest to that. I am just so grateful that she is doing well and enjoying her life! Thank you Heavenly Father for our Christmas Miracle!

Grateful

I wanted to take a moment tonight to express my thanks for my two amazing children Grady and Taylor. Life has never had meaning or purpose like it does now that Grady and Taylor are in our lives. There is never a dull moment. Grady is super smart and asks millions of questions. Taylor is full of energy and life and is always willing to give "loves" whether independent or asked upon. Every night we snuggle on our bed reading, laughing, sharing, tickling, giving kisses, playing, hugging, etc. And every morning Grady asks for a piece of gum (not that he gets one) and Taylor immediately heads for her high chair demanding pancakes. I gotta say it does not get better than this. Every inch of my body and soul is full of love and happiness and I AM GRATEFUL!!! So Grady and Taylor...Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you both and love you forever and ever. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX infinity and we thank our Savior for the wonderful blessing you bring.

Surgery

Our sweet little Tay is home and doing well. Taylor was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. On Monday Taylor went into Primary Children's for surgery to remove her adenoids and tonsils. While in surgery the doctors thought they discovered a bigger problem. They thought Taylor had an abnormally wide septum and that she would need some extensive surgery soon. The doctors scheduled Taylor for a CT Scan Tuesday morning to research her further. As you can imagine this is not something a mother wants to hear. I was already over the top imaging what Taylor was going through. I prayed and prayed and prayed for a miracle. The next day the cat scan revealed that Taylor did not have an abnormally wide septum and she will not need surgery for it after all!!!!! That was the answer to our prayers! We believe and are so grateful our heavenly father was watching over our little angel and family. What a wonderful blessing.

Taylor does need to have oxygen for a week only when she sleeps. Then if everything goes well with that, she can sleep on her own, like "a baby." In about 6 weeks she will undergo a sleep study to determine if her sleep apnea is under control.

Jesus won

So I have another cute story about Grady. We were watching TV and the GEICO commercial was on where the cave man is amongst a crowd of people in the stadium and he wins GEICO's greatest customer or other and they show the cave man's face on the jumbo tron as the winning customer. Anyhow, Grady says, "Jesus won mommy". Now that is cute.

Sleepover

Grady always wants to have his cousins sleep over at our home. I have to tell ya, it's only happened once where we had his cousin Karli spend the night. They had a blast and I think this is why he's all about the sleep over thing.

So tonight Grady was asking, "Mom, can Toria (his cousin Victoria) sleep over?" My response was No because it is a school night. Grady didn't give up..."Mom, can Karli (another cousin) sleep over?" No. same reason. "Mom, can Marley (this one is a friend) sleep over?" No...same reason. He was getting upset so I said, "Grady, can I sleep over?" He looks at me and says, "You're our mom remember?" LOL!!!
